Nella Milano Mulberry Wood

I have another swatch post today. This is Nella Milano Mulberry Wood.

It’s a dark mauve, almost purple colour, leaning to red, making it a classic berry colour. Many people would see this as more of an autumn colour perhaps, but I think it’s elegant and classic enough to wear year-round.

This is 2 coats. As with other Nella Milano polishes that I’ve used, it dries really quickly and also dries to a wonderful shine. I do have top coat on here, but it’s very shiny without it.

I remain impressed with the formula of Nella Milano polishes; they paint on very nicely and wear well.

I did get some staining at first when I removed it. My skin went a bit blue, which was bizarre, seeing as it’s more of a red-toned colour. But it came off easily when I washed my hands, so it wasn’t a permanent stain. It didn’t seem to stain my gel base coat either.

Nella Milano polish is on sale at the moment for £6.99 a bottle.  And you can get another 20% off with the code Kerrspecial. Mulberry Wood is on special promotion at the moment, at £4.47, so that reduces to just £3.58 with the 20% discount offer.

I seem to have been wearing a lot of purple and burgundy recently. It’s funny how you get into phases like that. Tomorrow is the A2ZNails Challenge, and I haven’t yet painted my nails for it yet, so I’ll make sure I go in a different direction colour-wise.

For this manicure I’ve used:
  • Colour: two coats of Nella Milano Mulberry Wood
  • Top coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
