Red and Gold Chinese Pattern
The idea for this red and gold Chinese pattern manicure came to me quite randomly.
I was wearing red – Nella Milano Scarlet Heat – and wanted to extend the manicure with some stamping. Thinking it would look good with gold stamping, I was reminded of the Bundle Monster Around The World “China” plate, Shanghai Summer, BM-XL151. Red and gold in combination is typically Chinese, particularly at New Year; red symbolises good luck and joy, and gold is an imperial colour, denoting wealth and happiness.
So with my theme and colours chosen, I just needed to select the right image from the plate. The Shanghai Summer plate has many different images to choose from: a large dragon, a pagoda scene, Chinese lanterns, origami, fireworks, the ying and yang symbol, The Great Wall, abstract images, floral pattern, and more.
I used the floral pattern and stamped it using Barry M Foil Effects Gold.
I was really pleased with these nails and they stayed on for quite some time for me.
