Bananas In Pyjamas (52 Week Challenge)
I’m a day late with this week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge, but it was Mother’s Day in the UK yesterday, and I was busy being spoiled, so didn’t get time to post.
Initially, I spent an age painting Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street as decals. But when I came to put them on, they just didn’t stick down well and you could see all the edges of the decals, with top coat bubbling around them. And I hated them, so they came off immediately.
Bananas In Pyjamas is a programme that came way after my time, but it used to be on sometimes when my son was small. He didn’t particularly like it, so I’m not very familiar with it, but I thought I could do some stripes and faces without too much of a problem. So Bananas In Pyjamas it was!
Silly nails really, but it was nice to have a bit of fun. They came off pretty quickly though so that I could try out my Mother’s Day present, a bottle of Christian Louboutin Lova.
- Polishes: Sally Hansen Butter-fly stroke (yellow), Barry M Cotton (white) and Ciaté Power Dressing (blue)
- Face detail: black acrylic paint
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

Ooh what a lovely mothers day gift!
He’s only 11, but I have him very well trained 🙂
Curious what your challenge prompt was? Children’s TV shows? I don’t know this particular show but the mani is very cute. 🙂
And, please, please, will we see your nails painted with Christian Louboutin Lova? What a delicious purple!
Yes, children’s TV shows. I should perhaps have mentioned that – ha ha! Bananas In Pyjamas is an Australian show, but it was also shown in the UK. I guess it didn’t ever air in the US then.
I did a quick snap of my Lova nails and put it on my (personal) Facebook page. Are you on Facebook? Add me and I’ll show you 🙂
Oh, this reminds me of when my son was little. He used to love Bananas In Pajamas when watching The Wiggles.
Now The Wiggles … that’s a whole new level of awesome! We took our son to see them live in London when he was a toddler. He loved the show. But I loved it more!
Awesomeeeee! Loved B1 and B2 so much! <3
When I was little we had the vhs tape for this, so cute!
Awsome nails! I totally remember Bananas in pyjamas. I could even sing the theme tune haha
