OPI Excuse Moi!: Jelly: Never-ending Pile Challenge

I had three untried jelly polishes to choose from for today’s Never-ending Pile challenge.

I went with OPI Excuse Moi!, which came from the Muppets collection that was released at Christmas 2011. I wasn’t even into painting my nails then (I got hooked in the summer of 2012), but I bought this just recently, in January, from TK Maxx, which often sells old polishes at reduced prices.

It applied beautifully. The glitters just swept effortlessly and evenly onto the nails, without any dragging. This is a mixture of pink, blue, silver, gold, green and orange small hex glitters, along with a generous amount of silver micro glitter, all suspended in a berry red jelly base.

I added a stripe of Barry M Pomegranate down the centre of two nails and added some studs. I’m very much into having my middle and ring fingers as matching accents at the moment.

That being said, I am disappointed with this manicure. I think the stripe is too wide, and so covers too much of the glitter. I think perhaps it might have been better to have the colour at the edges, and have the studs sit on the glitter.

This is so cute! I love the double accent nail with the addition of the glitter stripes on the sides!
