Review: Born Pretty Store nail jewellery

The next big nail art trend seems to be nail jewellery. I’ve seen plenty of celebs sporting various items on the red carpets, and there are even companies that now make real silver and gold nail jewellery – but it comes at a price that I cannot afford.

Thankfully for us nail fanatics, there is the Born Pretty Store, an online store that sells all sorts of nail art at great prices.

This is a “crystal embossed 3D nail decoration” that was sent to me for review by Born Pretty Store. You get two in a pack and they come in all sorts of designs, colours and sizes. I originally chose this one about a month or so ago, when my nails were a bit shorter. I’d measured my nails and chosen this particular one to fit my ring finger as an accent nail. But my nails are now quite a bit longer, and it didn’t look as good not completely covering the nail, so I put it on my index finger instead.

I’m wearing OPI I’m Feeling Sashy on my other nails, then I painted Ciaté Fit For A Queen on my index fingernail, and added the nail jewel using a few dabs of nail glue. It stuck nicely and stayed in place for a whole day before I removed the manicure.

There are both gold and silver coloured nail decorations to choose from, and they come in a variety of sizes that will fit most nails. They cost $2.49 for two matching pieces, and shipping is free. I’ve ordered several times from Born Pretty Store before and they’re very good, although you just need to be a bit patient as they ship from Singapore, which to the UK takes about ten days to two weeks.

This particular nail decoration I’m wearing is number 16. For 10% off this – or anything else from the Born Pretty Store – use the discount code ZSL91.

Wow, this is so cool!

Can you reuse it? It is comfortable? I guess it could work for a special event…it’s a little bit too much for everyday wear 🙂

Yes, you can re-use it no problem, and it was very comfortable – it just made my finger feel very slightly heavier. I think it would look lovely for a party or special event. But it would also be fine for every day – I only wore it for a day, but my hair didn’t get stuck in it and it didn’t snag on anything.
