Hot Pink Tribal Nails (52 Week Challenge)
I’ve combined the hot pink and tribal prompts for this week in the 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge.
I have some hot pink nails in the form of L’Oréal Shocking Pink, and I have added a stamped tribal accent nail.
I created the accent nail using the stamping decal method. I did plan on doing two nails, but one of the decals I made just disintegrated when I added top coat. It sort of melted and distorted all over. It’s as if my top coat reacted with the stamper head. There’s no other explanation as the other one was completely fine.
I stamped using Konad Black and a tribal image from the Bundle Monster Around The World plate BM-XL152, the Egypt plate (called Pharoah-est Of All). The image picked up really well. It’s almost perfect, but there a few tiny spots where you can see the white base through the black stamping. They bug me, but I’m a perfectionist. You can’t even see them at arm’s length, and even on these photos you’re hard pressed to see them without actively looking for them. In fact, they could even be a part of the design.
- Pink: two coats of L’Oréal Shocking Pink
- Stamping polish: Konad Black
- Stamping plate: Bundle Monster BM-XL152
- Base under decal nail: Barry M Cotton
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl
