Barry M Bright Purple

I bought Barry M Bright Purple only very recently. So it’s a very lucky polish to go from stash to nails within about a week. Not all polishes are that lucky. My oldest untried is now 8 months old. But this one made the transition because I haven’t worn purple for a while, and the brightness of Bright Purple was really calling to me.

This is three coats of polish and a top coat. The first coat dragged the polish away from cuticles, leaving slightly thin patches. They were still there after the second coat, but the third coat sorted it out.

This is a brilliantly self-levelling polish. I got a bubble right in the middle of one nail, which I didn’t notice until about a minute after painting it. I popped the bubble with a cocktail stick, thinking oh well, hopefully my top coat will smooth that out a bit. Then I sat back in amazement as I watched it gradually smooth itself out so that it was completely invisible.
