Ciaté Cupcake Queen with glequins: Hot Pink: GOT Polish Challenge

I seem to be wearing a lot of pinks and corals at the moment. Seeing as I’ve always considered pink to be my least favourite colour (after the abhorrence that is green, of course), that’s surprising. But I am mainly choosing to do it, so I think my contempt for pink may be waning. So, for the hot pink prompt in the Golden Oldie Thursday (GOT) Polish Challenge, I was quite happy to pick out and wear a suitable pink shade.

This is Ciaté Cupcake Queen, a mini that came in 2012’s Mini Mani Month advent calendar. It’s a bright pink with a subtle blue shimmer to it.

I was going to do some stamping, as I seem to have neglected it recently, but concluded that it might obscure the pink too much. So, in preference, I chose to add some light pink glequins in a polka dot arrangement.

These are fab nails. The glequins sparkle and flash in the sun, and that, added to the hot pink, make it such a summery, cheery manicure.
