FingerFood’s Theme Weeks: Birthdays / Celebrations: Sally Hanson Pronto Purple stamped with Cheeky CH9

I was a bit stumped for something for today’s FingerFood’s Theme Weeks challenge, which is all about birthdays or celebrations.

I’d left it right to the last minute (it’s 7pm on Sunday night and I’ve just finished and photographed the manicure!) and I hadn’t really come up with anything prior to today.

So I’ve gone with a fairly easy option and have stamped some champagne bottles and glasses.

The base is Sally Hansen Pronto Purple. It’s from the Insta-Dri range, and I needed something that would dry quickly as I was going to stamp over it. As it turned out, it didn’t dry quite as instantly as some of the others from this collection, but it wasn’t too bad. It’s a shimmery red-toned purple that I’ve not used before. I love it on my nails.

The stamp is from Cheeky plate CH9 and I’ve stamped using Bary M Foil Effects in Silver. The stamping is all a bit off on this. I’ve got a wonky glass stem on my little finger, and some of the bubbles have turned into random flecks on my ring finger.

As you can probably gather, I don’t particularly like this manicure. The base colour is lovely though, and I think I’ll redo my nails with just that.

I think you gave me my idea and unstuck me lol.. These are what I had in mind as I have the same plate, but … not to copy anyone’s specific idea… I think I’ll take a cue from it. =)

There aren’t many champagn stamping plates about. I’m surprised more people didn’t do this one anyway.
