Chanel Provocation with Gold Stamping: Most Expensive: Never-ending Pile Challenge
I seem to be posting every day at the moment, and so I was thinking of missing out a few of the Never-ending Pile challenge days to give myself a bit of a break. But for this particular prompt, I changed my mind – all for the sake of my ten-year old son!
You see, he (helped by his father) bought me Chanel Provocation for Mother’s Day recently. I was painting my nails for yesterday’s challenge when he asked what the next one was. I said “most expensive” and that it had to be unused. In reply to his inevitable next question, I said that Chanel was my most expensive polish – at £18 each – but that I had worn them all (apart from one I was given second-hand). He queried me, saying I hadn’t worn Provocation, and that I should because he had bought it for me. When I retorted that I had worn it, but hadn’t blogged about it, he told me I had to use it. Therefore, to indulge my son, I am wearing and blogging about Provocation.
All Chanel polishes I have are perfect. I love the skinny brushes – despite loving some of the fatter brushes available from other brands – and the formulas have been unfailingly perfect. Provocation meets the same standards.
I wanted to make this a nail art post rather than a swatch post, so decided to just add some elegant stamping, and this image from the CICI&SISI plate 05 called out to be stamped in gold over the classy plum of Provocation.
For this manicure I’ve used:
- Colour: two coats of Chanel Provocation
- Stamping polish: Barry M Foil Effects Gold
- Stamping plate: CICI&SISI 05
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

This color combination is absolutely perfect! Flawless stamping!
Thank you 🙂
Well, I’m going with your son on this one…that gorgeous polish needed to be shown and the gold stamping is exquisite. 🙂
Thank you. The stamping goes so well with this polish.
I am so glad you indulged your son….and us! This is simply gorgeous!
Thanks. It is a lovely look. I am so pleased with my CICI & SISI plates.
This is absolutely STUNNING!
Also, I’m incredibly jealous of your stamping skills. I keep thinking I’m going to give up and then see one of your posts. Will I EVER get the hang of it?!?
I guess it’s just practice. But a squishy stamper also helps. I ruined my first one by over-prepping it, and I gave up on stamping for a bit. I now have a new one from Fab Ur Nails (FUN) and all I did was swipe one of those lint rollers over it once and it’s perfect.
