The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Apple Mint Yogurt

I was reading Cazzy Durcan’s blog, SpecialGirl Nails, and saw her review some great-looking South Korean polishes, called the Yogurt Nails collection from a brand called The Face Shop.

I loved the look of all five polishes in the range, but eventually decided to buy the two that Cazzy hadn’t bought, the yellow and green ones: Lemon Candy Yogurt and Apple Mint Yogurt. I bought mine from the same eBay seller, 2Plus1. They cost just $4.99 with free delivery (£3.41 at the time), and they arrived swiftly, just 9 days later.

Apple Mint Yogurt is a mint green base, with small hexagon glitters in turquoise, rose gold and magenta, as well as tiny rose gold glitters.

I put two coats over a base of MUA Pistachio Ice Cream, which is very close in colour. I’m really pleased with this polish. It’s a lovely combination of colours and looks really summery on my nails today.

Uh oh! I think I might need this one too now!

Lovely swatch – I especially like the magenta against the green.

So nice, isn’t it? I’m tempted by either the strawberry or grape too!

Lou

Gah! That is beautiful!! I have the Etude House Ice Cream polishes which are just as cute, gotta love these Asian glitter bombs!

Claire Kerr

Yes, I like the Etude House ones too. I’ve a whole new world of South Korean polish to discover!

Squeaky

Ohhh these colours look amazing together!

Leona

Thanks!! looks so gorgeous! really looks great on your skin tone. could you please swatch the lemon candy yogurt too? I’m really interested in seeing how it looks like. 🙂

Claire Kerr

Yes, I’ll get around to the Lemon Candy one soon.

Leona

thanks Claire! really looking forward to the lemon candy! 🙂 your nails look awesome! please tell me the secret…how do you get the polish to look so smooth and the glitter to spread so evenly?

Claire Kerr

Ha ha! There’s no secret. If there’s a bit of a gap with the glitters, I just dab some more on where it’s needed. And a coat or two of top coat smoothes everything beautifully (not that this polish is very bumpy anyway).

Lacqueerisa

Ahh!! I think I’d pick this one up too. The colours are just irresistible!

Claire Kerr

No, I didn’t have any problems with them at all. I did put them over a base colour, so wouldn’t have noticed any streaking. And I used a fast drying top coat and they dried absolutely fine. Sorry to hear you had problems 🙁
