Christmas Challenge 2013 Day 1: White Christmas
So with one challenge just finishing up, I’m now starting another. There were three Christmas nail art challenges being run by UK groups or individuals. I finally plumped for the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts Christmas Winter Challenge as it started the latest and I couldn’t cope with starting too much earlier while still trying to do the 33 Day Challenge.
The first prompt is “White Christmas” – so all about snow, lights and decorations. I chose to do a snowflake manicure, but fancied doing it more like you’d see on some Christmas wrapping paper, so I have stamped some snowflakes over a shimmery red.
I chose No.7 Salsa for the base. It’s a metallic, shiny red. I needed three coats for complete opacity, but two would have done if I wasn’t being so picky.
Then I stamped in white using Bundle Monster plate BM-323.
The result really does look like that metallic Christmas wrapping paper.
I haven’t had much of a chance to think about these challenge prompts as yet, so who knows what I might come up with.
Here’s the other manicures from today’s prompt:

- Colour: three coats of No. 7 Salsa

So beautiful! Love them 🙂 Besides you can’t go wrong with red and white, especially on holidays! I love this color combo.
