Barry M Passion Fruit
If you had a colour that was a perfect mix of pink, orange and red, and which you could not describe except by using ALL those words, then you would have Barry M Passion Fruit.
Passion Fruit is from the new summer range of Gelly Hi-Shine polishes. Five new shades have been added to the Hi-Shine range and while they’re not available for a few more weeks in the usual shops (Boots and Superdrug), they *are* available on the Barry M website 🙂
The shades are:
- Key Lime (lime)
- Guava (turquoise/teal)
- Passion Fruit (pink/orange/red … OK, so a hot coral, maybe?)
- Blue Grape (cobalt blue)
- Mango (orange)
I love the Hi-Shine polishes. Very often they are one-coaters, with a lovely shine that only needs a top coat if you want added durability. I’ve used two coats plus a top coat for this. It took two coats to be nicely opaque, and I’ve added top coat because I wanted it to dry quickly!
It applied very nicely and had the characteristic shiny finish. It’s slap bang in between a red and a pink … and in some lights it leans orange. The best I can describe the colour is as a hot coral shade. It’s lovely and bright; just perfect for summer. I think I’ll be wearing this a lot and it’ll look lovely for holiday toenails too.
Here’s all five new shades. I do think the photos don’t quite do justice to Passion Fruit, nor the other polish that I have, Guava (which you can see soon!)
- Colour: two coats of Barry M Passion Fruit
- Top coat: No. 7 Stay Perfect

Great post, i actually find this sort of thing really interesting. I used this photo for my own blog as I had no time to get a decent one myself, I did credit it to you, I hope you don’t mind 🙂 x
I don’t have a problem with people using my photos as long as they do not crop or edit them in any way and as long as they credit me and provide a link to my blog.
