GOT Polish Challenge: Yellow: Polka Dots

For the Golden Oldie Thursday (GOT) Polish Challenge this week, the theme is yellow or peach. I don’t have many of either polish, so it was fairly easy to choose one to use.

I left this manicure very much to the last minute, without much idea of what I was going to do. I had chosen Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi, and after painting that on all my nails, I just went with a simple white polka dot.

As with most yellows, Big Yellow Taxi is streaky and difficult to apply. This took four coats, and it went on best when I used a light touch. It’s a lovely bright yellow. While I’ve never been to New York, I’m not so sure it’s warm or dark enough for the famous cabs it’s named after.

I don’t many yellow nail polishes either! I love this design – it’s so simple and the yellow and white work really well together! :)

I think I have all of one yellow nail polish myself, so I understand completely.

This design is so simple and clean, yet I love it <3 The white works really well with the pale yellow (And you're right about the color not quite being bold enough for a NYC Taxi ;)

Yellow is not something I use very often on my nails, but I really like the look of this manicure. Everything with dots is nice :)
