Silver with Red Diamond Stamping: S is for: Silver

I didn’t mange to post on time yesterday for the A2Z series challenge, and I’m a day late. It’s S this time, for silver.

Firstly I painted my nails using W7 Silver Suede. This was given to be by my friend Michelle. She’s just got into painting her nails and has fallen hard, already setting up her Fingertiptastic blog and Instagram account – go visit her and give her some love.

Silver Suede dries very matte looking, and the shimmer in it makes it look rough. So I was surprised when I touched it and it feels really smooth and silky.

I was going to stamp something floral in black, but did a last minute swerve and chose a geometric diamond pattern – reminiscent of an Argyle pattern – and thought it would be nice with some colour. The design is from CICI & SISI plate 21, in the red set. Keeping with the metallic feel of the silver, I used A England Perceval, a vibrant, metallic red that stamps perfectly.

After top coat, the shine of Silver Suede was more evident. I only painted this last night and was going to just do four nails before rushing out to take my son to his cricket practice. But I loved how it came out so much that I did all my nails.
