Nail Lacquer UK Autumn Weathers
Autumn Weathers is a multi-coloured strand glitter in a clear base, produced by AJ of Nail Lacquer UK, a new indie polish maker
I chose to wear it over a base of Sally Hansen Beige Blast and found that the best way to apply it was to dab it on, almost stipple it as if I was painting a wall in a 1990s episode of Changing Rooms! I didn’t want to brush it on like normal polish, because I find with strand glitter polishes, it makes them all lay vertically, and I didn’t want too much uniformity. With this dabbing technique, it went on really easily and dried very quickly too.
I love the mix of colours In Autumn Weathers. In the bottle, it certainly conjures up an Autumn day – with the red, purple and yellow glitters representing Autumn leaves and the blue and green as hints of grass and blue sky. Next time I wear it, I will try it layered as multiple coats, to give the effect that it has in the bottle.
You can buy Nail Lacquer UK polish from AJ’s Etsy store. Mini bottles, in 4ml, cost £3.50, and full size, 10ml bottles are £5.50 to £7.50. Plus, you can use the code TENOFF to get 10% off.
For this manicure I’ve used:
- Base colour: four coats of Sally Hansen Beige Blast
- Glitter coat: one coat of Nail Lacquer UK Autumn Weathers
- Top coat:Nina Ultra Pro

Very nice, I also hate it when they all line up in one direction, so will have to try stippling! Good tip
It worked well with this polish because of the clear base. I’m not sure how great it would be if it had a coloured base, as it perhaps wouldn’t go on evenly.
Looks lovely, thanks for the review!
