Barry M Sequin Nail Effects Black

I’ve been reading a lot about the new Sequin Nail Effects polishes from Barry M. Almost every post has been negative about them. I had been really excited about the white one, with its primary-coloured glitter, and was desperately waiting for it to be released.

And then the early reviews revealed that it was a textured polish. I don’t really like textured polish very much. I have a couple, but they’re not my favourite.

All the same, I went out and bought the Sequin Nail Effects in White because I couldn’t quite accept that it wasn’t as fabulous as it looked in the bottle.

Now that I also have it in Black, I am beginning to come to terms with the fact that, very sadly, I just don’t like them. This is one coat over W7 Black, without a top coat.

I could accept the texture, albeit that it bugs me on my nails and I end up trying to scratch it off because it gets caught in my hair and on my clothes. But with this collection, the large glitters just don’t look right in amongst the texture. And certainly in this case, I think it just makes  my manicure look a mess.

There are three colours in the range: Pink, Black and White.

Sorry, Barry M, but I just don’t like this collection 🙁 🙁

So, please, please, please will you remake them – without the texture. Every nail polish addict and enthusiast worldwide will love you if you do!!

For this manicure I’ve used:
  • Base colour: one coat of W7 Black
  • Glitter coat: one coat of Barry M Sequin Nail Effects Black
  • Top coat: none
