GOT Polish Challenge: Orange: Orange and White Stripes using Nails Inc Porchester Place

I don’t own many orange polishes at all, so the prompt today for the Golden Oldie Thursday (GOT) Polish Challenge was always going to be a toughie.

Ultimately, I’ve done a (fairly rubbish) taped manicure using Nails Inc Porchester Place. I bought this polish along with three others when I was just becoming interested in polish. It stirred me to want more, so I started reading blogs and within a few months I was on the slippery slope to addiction.

The base is Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then I used all the different width Nail Vinyls straights to create decreasing sized white stripes down my nails and topped it off with one coat of Porchester Place.

I did this in a bit of a rush, so I’m not particularly pleased with it. The lines aren’t completely parallel and some of the polish bled underneath because I didn’t take enough time to ensure the strips were stuck down properly.

Once again, my camera didn’t like the orange; it has trouble with orange, peach and coral. But I didn’t have the time to play around and adjust the colour balance during editing, so you get to see what my camera saw! In reality, Porchester Place is warmer and more “orange” than this shows. It looks right in the bottle; just not on the nails!
