Dragonfly Nails | Insects | 40 Great Nail Art Ideas

I’m still three weeks behind with this challenge. These dragonfly nails are for the insects prompt from 15th July.

As usual, I had grand plans starting out. I wanted to do a riverbank scene, with reeds, water and dragonflies. But as time slipped away and I needed to just get something – anything – on my nails, it became far more apparent that some quick stamping was the way to go.

The peach base is four coats of L’Oréal Creamy Angora. That took some effort – this wasn’t going to be quite such a speedy manicure as I first thought. The only time I’ve used it before I painted three coats over white, so I should have known really.

I stamped using the individual dragonfly image on Bundle Monster plate BM-410, and placed three dragonflies per nail. I don’t quite know why I chose gold; I can’t say I’ve ever seen a gold dragonfly, only ever blue or red.

Right – no time for writing – I’m off to see if I can catch up some more.

I really like how soft and delicate these dragonfly nails turned out.
