Yellow, Black and White Stripes and Flowers (52 Week Challenge)

It’s stripes or pastel for this week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge so I have some yellow, black and white stripes and flowers nails.

I started off trying to paint some black and white stripes over the yellow base, which is China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin. But it just wasn’t working and looked a mess. So after a rethink, I went with stripes of a different kind and chose a stamping image with some stripes (and flowers).

I did reverse stamping (advanced stamping) and made some decals, filling in the flowers with some white. I love these nails. They’re so bright and happy.

Aauugh! I just placed an order on the Born Pretty website yesterday. One more day and I would have added the plate with this adorable image. 🙂 Very cute man…so cheerful!

Hey, would you be surprised if I had a question for you? I used your code on my $42 and some odd cents Born Pretty order to get 10% off. The website returned the “this code has been accepted and applied” (paraphrased) message but, instead of reducing the total by $4.2 (and some odd cents), it reduced it by only 60 cents. (I printed .pdfs I can send you privately to show what I’m talking about.)

I did manage to find several of the items I bought on sale. I wonder if the 10% discount codes given to all the cool bloggers (like you) are only applicable to non-sale items? I haven’t yet figured out if the sixty cents would work out correctly if applied to only the items in my cart that weren’t for sale…I’ll try to get around to that today (it’s 8 a.m. on Sunday here). I did send a message to BP on my order in the notes section asking why the 10% discount code didn’t take off a full 10% but no reply from them yet.

If you already know the answer to this, I’d love to know. Otherwise, I’ll let you know what I figure/find out. Hope you’re having a nice Sunday afternoon! Again, beautiful mani! 🙂

It’s a lovely image, isn’t it? As soon as I saw it, this colour scheme popped into my head, which is unusual for me. Typically, I think of the colours, then find the design or image to go with it!

You guessed right about the discount – the BPS discount only applies to items that aren’t already discounted. (Thanks for using my code – once enough people have done so, they run a giveaway for your blog – that would be fab!)

Claire, this is so clear and pretty!
