Orange and Red Gradient with Swirls Stamping (52 Week Challenge)
The two prompts for this week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge are three colours of red/orange or swirls. I combined the two for an orange and red gradient with swirls stamping.
I can’t get enough of gradient stamping at the moment. I think it’s my favourite type of nail art.
For the gradient, I used three Barry M orange and red polishes: Mango, Block Orange, and Blood Orange (which is red).
Then I stamped a gradient of red and orange Mundo de Uñas polishes over it, placing the orange over the red base, and vice versa. I used a swirls pattern from CICI & SISI 05.
I thought gradienting the stamping polishes would work well, but in hindsight, I think it would have looked better just stamped in the red. The Mundo de Uñas stamping polish is darker than the Barry M red and still would have stood out.
On top of that, my camera hates orange and has washed out the orange stamping over the tips. None of the colours here is quite true.
