Pink and Aqua Tape Manicure (52 Week Challenge)
The themes for this week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challengeare dotting tools and/or pink and aqua and I’ve done a tape manicure using the colours option.
I wasn’t entirely sure what colour aqua is. I’ve always assumed that it’s short for aquamarine, which is a greeny sort of turquoise. I looked it up and it’s actually distinct from aquamarine, and is a cyan colour, exactly half way between green and blue. I’ve used Barry M Turquoise, which was what I thought was the closest I could get to it. But I realise now that Barry M Cyan Blue would have been better! I paired it with another favourite Barry M, Fuchsia, for the pink.
I’ve added in some silver too and created some chevron designs using Nail Vinyls.
My son loved this look and after I’d done just four fingernails, demanded that I do it on all my nails. I don’t always do the more bold designs on all my nails, in case I have an unexpected business meeting. But this time, I obliged him, and actually ended up wearing it for about five days in the end.
- Colours: one coat of Barry M Foil Effects Silver, then single coats of Barry M Turquoise and Barry M Fuchsia
- Chevron designs: made using Nail Vinyls
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

Love it! Tape mani’s were my first attempts at nail “art” and they will forever be my favourites.
Oh my gosh, this is seriously beautiful!
