Red, Yellow and Green Saran Wrap | 40 Great Nail Art Ideas

This manicure is a red, yellow and green Saran wrap manicure for one of the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas themes.

After far too many weeks out of the nail art loop, I have finally managed to jump back in. And this manicure is about four weeks late. In fact, the challenge is now over, and the next one has begun. But I still have two more manicures to complete after this one. I will make sure I finish them though, as then I will have done two years of a once-weekly challenge.

In fact, I did paint these nails at the time, but I just haven’t had the time to post them. I’m a freelance marketing consultant, and work has been busy, but more than that, I am on my son’s school’s parents’ association committee, and the time I have had to devote to that recently has meant I just haven’t been able to keep up with the blog … nor paint my nails. Hopefully things will change soon and the commitment needed there will lessen.

I was already wearing red on my nails: Nella Milano Scarlet Heat. To that, I have added Revlon Barry M Olive, a very pale, quite “dirty” green, using scrunched up cling film (Saran wrap). Finally, I added some yellow, using Revlon Buttercup. There seemed to be too much yellow on my nails, and I didn’t want to see too much green [regular readers will know I’m not a great fan of green] so I added some more red on top.

Red, yellow and green is not a great colour combination in my opinion. But I quite liked the effect of these nails.
