GOT Polish Challenge: Chevrons: Pink, Peach and Orange Chevrons
It’s chevrons today in the Golden Oldie Thursday (GOT) Polish Challenge.
I messed up completely today. Not with the manicure; I’m happy with that, even though they were rather hastily – and not very well – cleaned up. But, I messed up with the challenge. I knew I needed to do chevrons for a challenge today, but it didn’t register in my brain that this was for the GOT Polish challenge, and so I haven’t used old polishes. In fact, I’ve used brand new polishes; they’re only a few days old all of them! Whoops!
Oh well. I’ve been away for a couple of days so I’ve been catching up on work all day today, meaning I wasn’t focusing on doing my nails as much.
Here they are anyway. I’ve used L’Oreal Color Riche Peach Negligée as the base. It’s part of the Spring/Summer 2014 Les Blancs collection, which is a collection of four pastels and has just launched in the UK. The colours are beautiful and pale and this one was nicely opaque in just two coats. I really love them, even (shhh, don’t tell anyone) the green.
After applying my chevron guards, I painted Barry M Papaya at the cuticle end and Barry M Satsuma at the tips. These aren’t newly released polishes, but they are brand new to me, having been bought for me for my birthday a few days ago.
My camera didn’t like Papaya. It should be brighter than it is in my photos.
(Now then, shall I be all pedantic and say I bet there are zig zags in the link up?? No, I won’t; it would be petty!)
Here are the manicures from everyone else that is participating:
