Pink and Aqua Flowers | 40 Great Nail Art Ideas
These pink and aqua flowers are for the pink and aqua theme (a couple of weeks ago now – ooops) of the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas group. As ever, there’s a personal prompt that goes along with each colour theme, and mine was “on a nude base” – easy enough!
I was going to do some splatter nails, but couldn’t find the time to clear everything away to prepare and protect against all that mess. So I had a bit of a browse through the manicures I’ve pinned that I like, and came across one using a flower image from Bundle Monster BM-06 (see below). I thought it would look great on all my nails over the base of piCture pOlish Nude that I had already painted.
I pulled out some Sally Hansen Insta-Dris to stamp with. I don’t know if was the heat or what, but I couldn’t get them to stamp very well. So I tried with some Barry M polishes, and was very surprised at how well they stamped. I used Turquoise and Ballerina for a pastel look. My favourite clear stamper, the Bundle Monster Glass Stamper, made it very easy to place the individual flowers. I was tempted to add some darker colours over the top, but ultimately decided I liked it just with the blue and pink flowers and left it as it was.
This is the manicure I was inspired by, created by Glam Style Nails by Carolina:
I’m still a few manicures behind in this challenge. If you look at the image below, you’ll see I still have insects to do – and even that was last week’s manicure! The year-long challenge ends in September – I had better have caught up by then!
- Base colour: three coats of piCture pOlish Nude
- Stamping polishes: Barry M Turquoise and Barry M Ballerina
- Stamping plate: Bundle Monster BM-06
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

The linkup has expired, so I can’t add myself to it, but you should be able to see all the other pink and aqua manicures if you follow the link below.
