Navy, orange and white splatter manicure
This is my first splatter manicure. And I can confirm that it was a lot of fun to create.
I used Barry M Matte White and Essie Orange, It’s Obvious over the top of my previous Ciate Power Dressing manicure. After laying down lots of newspaper and taping up my nails, I dipped a straw into the white and blew hard to create the splatter effect
Then I did the same with the orange. Some nails were a little too orange then, so I went back and did a little white over the top.
I love the effect. My favourite nail is the middle one as it doesn’t have too many large blobs on it. But then with this sort of nail art, it’s never going to look uniform, so despite my perfectionist needs, I just have to go with the flow on this one!
It was very messy and, despite my precautions, I still had some clean up to do. But this was great fun and I’ll do it again.
- Base: two coats of Ciate Power Dressing
- Splatter colours: Barry M Matt White; Essie Orange, It’s Obvious
- Top coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip (two coats)
