piCture pOlish Blogger

This is one gorgeous glitter bomb. It only arrived a few hours ago, but I could not wait to use it. I opened the package, swatched the polish on a nail wheel, took a quick photo with my smartphone and then tweeted my delight. But then I kept looking at the bottle on my desk. I was trying to concentrate on working, but it was calling to me to put it on. And so I did. This polish must be the fastest to ever go from in my hands to onto my nails!

So, this is piCture pOlish Blogger. (Why the weird capitals – does anyone know? I tried to find out online, but couldn’t find an explanation). Anyway, it’s my first ever piCture pOlish and from how I feel about it, I’m sure it’s not going to be my last. piCture pOlish is an Australian brand, but in the UK we’re lucky that Sally Magpies imports them. I bought this along with my first ever Ozotic (also absolutely stunning) and was really pleased with the ordering process and speed of delivery from Sally – she gets a big thumbs up from me.

This is just one coat over my A England Lady of Shalott manicure. Yes, just one coat. Without a base colour this would only take two coats for full glitter coverage. It really is very densely packed with the glitters. They come in assorted colours and sizes: pink, red, gold/yellow, silver and blue in small and medium, but just the blue in large glitter.

It went on better than any other glitter I’ve ever used. I didn’t really need to dab the polish on because it applied really evenly and smoothly with just swiping the brush normally.

[EDIT: piCture pOlish tweeted me to say there’s no particular reason for the capital letters in their name. So now you know!]

For this manicure I’ve used:
  • Base colour: two coats of A England Lady Of Shalott
  • Intermediate top coat: Seche Vite – two coats
  • Glitter: one coat of piCture pOlish Blogger
  • Top coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip – two coats

I’ve been loving the look of this and the idea of the base they released at same time. One comparison I’d love too see (if you have it) is Blogger Vs W7 multi glitter. Seeing your pictures I think they may be different as there are large blue hexes above which I don’t think the W7 has. Oooh I may just go and find the W7 now as seeing this has made me fancy some glitter!

I like the look of the glitter base coat too – just waiting for it to come back into stock.

I had the exact same thought about W7 Multi Dazzle – which I do have – and I checked them together today when Blogger arrived. The W7 is sparser – two coats don’t cover as much as just one coat of Blogger. Also, the W7 has green in it, and no large glitters (as you had pointed out). But other than that, they are similar – just not dupes 🙂

If I get a chance tomorrow, I’ll do a photo of the two swatch wheels next to each other.

You’re skilled claire!

It’s just blobbing glitter onto nails, but thank you for saying so 🙂

ooooh pretty! Lovely swatches btw.
I just got a bottle of this and its going in my charity polish auction. Its soooo sparkly just in the bottle. Need to hide it I think until it gets sold! lol

Good luck restraining yourself from going to retrieve it from its hiding place 🙂
