33DC Day 33: freestyle / recreate someone else’s mani

Well, this is it. It’s the very last day of the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts 33 Day Challenge.

Today, we can either do anything we like (freestyle) or we can recreate another manicure from the challenge. There have been so many brilliant manicures, but I really fell in love with a very simple, but really well executed manicure from very early on in the challenge.

It was done by Tracy of Poorly Polished, who doesn’t blog, but who added the photo to the Crumpet’s Nail Group, from where I pinned it:

Gorgeous, isn’t it? It’s a simple design, but very elegant.

Well, her nails are about the same length as mine, and I love navy blue, so this was the one I decided to recreate.

I chose L’Oréal Midnight Mistress for the navy. It’s a very deep colour, almost black. I’d picked it up very recently – along with a backup – for just £1 in Poundland. Then I’ve done the dots using Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I used my largest dotting tool for the large dots, and my second smallest one for the small ones.

I have really enjoyed doing this challenge. It’s pushed me to try new techniques and to be more adventurous with my nail art than ever before.

I’ll post a round up of all my manicures tomorrow.
