Barry M Limited Edition Christmas Blue from Superdrug

Oh my goodness! I am completely in love with this polish and have never used anything like it. It’s the limited edition polish from Barry M that’s currently available at Superdrug. You can either buy it for £3.99, or you can choose it (or another polish) for free when you spend £6 on Barry M cosmetics.

On their Facebook page, this is called Christmas Blue, but the bottle is just labelled SLE 2012 A (Superdrug Limited Edition?). It’s a light turquoise shimmery foil polish. The photos show it more teal coloured than it is really. It’s lighter than this – a more pale, iced  blue.

It’s a great polish. It’s just like having foil on your nails. In fact, apart from the colour difference, it really reminds me of the wrapping of the Quality Street coconut sweet.

It went on well in one thickish coat, and I could probably have managed with just that, but it was taking quite a while to dry and I dinked a nail on my computer keyboard, so I added a second coat and a topcoat.

I really love this colour and this finish. Barry M comes out with some great products. I also got the Christmas Glitter and the Boots’ special offer Christmas Gold, so can’t wait to try them out too.

For this manicure I’ve used:
  • Base: two coats of Barry M Christmas Blue
  • Top coat: No.7 Stay Perfect

I Luv it! Oh so I have a major weakness for metallics & foils, but that doesn’t change the fact that that polish is gorgeous on your nails.

It’s fab. I love it. Makes me want to go and get the pink one from Boots now – although I don’t really like pink and I’ve bought so many Barry M polishes recently that I don’t think there are two I want now, to be able to get the pink for free.

You could get a back up for one of your favs to make the 2 to get the one free?

Claire Kerr

True. The gold and silver foil effects are great for stamping, so I could get back-ups of those, couldn’t I?!
