Nail Geek Clear Skies

Today I have a review of Nail Geek Clear Skies, a cornflower blue colour from Makeup Revolution.

It’s a really beautiful colour. I do love my blues, and this one is a great colour. I was surprised to find that I have little that comes close to it in my collection.

It dried averagely quickly, to a nice shine, although I did use top coat. It’s pretty opaque too. I used two coats, but with a thicker coat you could easily get away with just the one, especially if you have short nails. For me, I could still see some slight visible nail line after one coat, so I painted a second one.

I used this blue previously, as the base for some daisies nail art. It comes as part of the 5-part collection, Cool Nails, which has some lovely blue, teal and mint green shades. I’ve reviewed Dreams before, and have also stamped over it. I’ve also used Dreams, Peppermint, Inbetween and Live Fearless in some camouflage nail art.

The Nail Geek polishes are excellent value at just £1.49 each. You can buy them in Superdrug or online from the Makeup Revolution website. And if you buy the 5-part collections online, you get 5 for the price of 4. Bargain!

For this manicure I’ve used:
  • Colour: two coats of Nail Geek Clear Skies
  • Top coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
