Before I turned it into a half and half manicure, I wore my nails with just Barry M Coconut on them for a day.

It’s a lovely cream colour that’s beautiful on its own and is also perfect as a base for adding nail art over. It’s not a dupe for OPI My  Vampire Is Buff – it’s a touch lighter – but it makes a good alternative to it, especially as it’s far cheaper.

I used two coats for this, and although it looks good in the pictures, I think three coats would have been perfect.  I find the same with My Vampire Is Buff; sometimes it takes two coats, sometimes three. It all depends on how thickly I’ve painted them on.
