Half and half nails using the new Barry M summer 2014 Gellys

When I bought the new Barry M summer 2014 Gellys, I lined them all up on the desk to admire them, and by a lucky accident placed Coconut, Almond and Elderberry next to each other. I was struck by how well they complemented each other, and decided to use them together.

I was going to do some stripes and lines, as that’s one of my favourite manicures. But I ended up just doing half and half nails. This is quite a plain manicure, but I think there are more options with this colour scheme – perhaps chevrons, or some dotting.

Beautiful color block, soft but striking!

They look lovely together! How is the opacity for Coconut?

I’d say it’s fairly similar to My Vampire Is Buff, if you have that. MVIB sometime takes 2 coats, sometimes 3. My next post is on Coconut on its own – should be able to post it tomorrow – that was 2 coats, but if I was really picky, 3 would have been perfect.

Thanks Claire! I don’t have MVIB, although I do love the colour, but Barry M is cheaper (even if I get it from a webshop this side of the Northsea) than OPI.
