Autumn Jumper Knitted Nails | Inspired By The Weather | Twinsie Tuesday
These knitted nails are for this week’s Twinsie Tuesday prompt, inspired by the weather. I’m a day late with this, but better late than never!
The weather here in south London is currently just grey and a bit cold. So I didn’t feel that gave me much literal inspiration. Instead, I thought around that a little and realised that this time of the year is when we start to turn on the heating while we’re indoors, and add another layer while we’re out.
That extra layer for many is a cosy jumper, so I painted some knitted nails. The base is Barry M Almond, a soft taupe colour. Barry M launched it in 2014 as part of their summer collection, but it’s not really a traditionally summery colour. It’s far more appropriate for autumn.
I stamped over that using another Barry M shade, from the same Summer 2014 collection: Coconut. This is a creamy, just off-white shade. It stamps quite well if you want a thinner look to your stamping. And that is what I was going for with this.
The stamping plate is hēhē Plus Fairy Tale 005. It has lots of lace and a couple of knitted patterns on it. You can buy it from the hēhē website.
As lovely as they are, the nails aren’t going to keep me warm though. So I’ve turned up the heating!
Please take a look at all the other manicures from the Twinsies this week:
