Blue glitter crosses: X is for: Xs

It’s letter X this week in the A to Z series challenge. I don’t have a polish that begins with X. I don’t even have any where the brands begin with X (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear springs to mind … but I don’t have any).

So I had to be a bit more creative this week, and I’ve put some Xs on my nails.   I didn’t intend for them to look like Scottish saltires, but they did turn out a bit like that.

I used Ciaté Ferris Wheel as the base. It’s a pastel, baby blue. It’s a gorgeous colour, but it took three coats – four on some nails – for it to be perfect. After adding some straight Nail Vinyls, I added Ciaté Glass Slipper, a cyan blue glitter that came with the 2012 Ciaté advent calendar. The smell was very off-putting; very chemically; a real ‘funky’ smell. But the glitter is nice 🙂
