Laquerdaisical Purple Phase

I have another Laquerdaisical polish on today. This is Purple Phase, a thermal, colour-changing polish that goes from blue/grey when warm to dark purple when cold.

The formula was again quite thick, and tended to drag if you went over the same spot, so I had to ensure I did the manicure carefully.  Some thinner should sort it out though.

I applied the polish while my hands were cold, so it wasn’t until they warmed up that I realised I had some spots of unmixed pigment on my nails. I need to make sure I shake the polish up well before wearing it next time.

The polish dries to a matte finish, but a coat of top coat brings out the lovely pink shimmer. It’s a bit more evident when it’s purple, but you can still see it when it’s light blue/grey too.

Purple Phase is best worn over a base colour, as it’s quite sheer and would need three or more coats to be opaque. I used a light grey, Collection 2000 Angel Wings.

For this manicure I’ve used:
  • Undies: one coat of Collection 2000 Angel Wings
  • Colour: two coats of Laquerdaisical Purple Phase
  • Top coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
