Holo chevrons (52 Week Challenge)

The 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge choices this time around are film and holo.

I didn’t have much time this week for nails, as I’ve had flu again. I’m never ill and yet I’ve had flu twice since Christmas. So, because of wasting three days of my life in bed this week, I kept things simple and chose the holo theme and added some holo to my existing manicure of Butter London Queen Vic.

I’ve used Orly Miss Conduct and painted chevrons using smART Nails stencils P064 and added some plain holo nails too.

It’s quite a subtle look and my camera just doesn’t play when it comes to holo, even with added flash.

I think these two colours play nicely together. Queen Vic is a lovely, classy pink-toned purple which really complements the pink holo of Miss Conduct.

I’m still very much in love with using smART Nails stencils. They’re so quick and easy to  use. If you want to order some, there’s free shipping in January on their website: www.smart-nails.com

I’m sorry to hear you’re sick. Flu is the worst! I have both these polishes and never would have thought of combining them…can’t wait to try that now. And, in spite of feeling “ugh,” it was very kind of you to give us the heads up about free shipping. I’ve been meaning to order some of those nail vinyls to see what all the fuss is about and now I believe I’ll order some. Hope you feel better very soon and that the flu is done with you. (Unintended rhyming.)
