FingerFood’s Theme Buffet: Monochrome: Black and White Floral Stamping
And so the FingerFood’s Theme Buffet challenge rolls onto part two. And we have some more themes to pick from. These were all suggested by members of the Facebook group (I was too slow and didn’t get round to posting any ideas).
This week is actually either the end of the last set of challenges, and a Mother’s Day theme, or the first of a new set, and monochrome. Some people have chosen to combine the two,but I’ve gone for monochrome, which was suggested by Sarah, Manda and Myristine.
Strictly I’ve gone for achromatic, which means no colour at all, i.e. black and white. But I took Wikipedia literally when it said:
For an image, the term monochrome is usually taken to mean the same as black and white
So, I’ve chosen some black stamping over white. I used Mo You London Pro XL 14 for the plate, and stamped a floral pattern. It didn’t come out so well and had some bald patches, so I touched them up with a teeny tiny brush and some black acrylic paint. I still managed to miss a few spots though.
I do like this look. I was planning to keep it on for a few days, but I might now replace it with the lovely new Chanel Provocation I received for Mother’s Day from my son.
Here are the manicures from everyone else that is participating:
- Colour: two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White
- Stamping polish: Konad Special Black
- Stamping plate: Mo You London Pro 14 XL
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl
