Roses: Lilac and Teal (52 Week Challenge)

I’m late with last week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge. The prompts were lilac and teal or pastels. I was already wearing Bundle Monster Voodoo Lounge with some stamping. I removed the stamping and added some roses in lilac and teal.

It’s not my favourite manicure ever.  I did it quite quickly and the roses are quite basic. I know messy can sometimes look good for roses, but this looks a bit amateurish to me. I’m not particularly happy with them, but I didn’t want to miss out on doing any of the 52 week challenges.

The roses have been added using a dotting tool and all Barry M polishes. The base colour I used was Prickly Pear. It’s been covered up in most of them, but you can see it there in some. It’s a more blue/grey toned lilac than the base colour.

I added highlights to the roses using Barry M Plum and Barry M Rose Hip, and the leaves are done with Barry M Make Me Teal (which is from the new Sunset range; I’ve not worn it yet though) and Barry M Greenberry.
