Nautical Nails | Bundle Monster Hangloose Collection
These nautical nails are for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas group. The theme this week is holidays or seaside or the beach and I’ve done a nautical take on the prompt. My husband hankers after a sailing holiday, and would love to sail around the Caribbean, but I prefer to keep that to the nails only.
I made some reverse stamping decals using some images from the new Bundle Monster Hangloose plates collection. This collection is 10 square plates with a lovely range of ocean and beach images. It has seas, the ocean floor and its creatures, shells and scallops, sailor and nautical themed images, as well as tropical beach, holiday (vacation) and surfing images.
I used plates BM-401 and BM-402 and coloured them in with a range of blue, red and white polishes (see below for the details). I mattified the final look as it showed up better on camera.
You can buy the Hangloose plates singly for $2.99 each, or as a set of 10, currently on sale for $12.74.
There are also a couple of sets that they come in that seem a great buy. For $33.15 you can buy one of two sets. Each has three stamping polishes, the set of 10 Hangloose plates, 4 sheets of similarly-themed water decals and a wheel of gold studs that includes shells, seahorses, starfish and pineapples. You can choose either the set that has 3 metallic stamping polishes in Sky Blue, Gold and Silver or the set with 3 Moonbeams stamping polishes in Pinky Red, Purplish Blue and a Greenish Gold. These are metallic stamping polishes that look great over darker colours.
I don’t have either of the stamping polish sets, but I do have the decals and the studs, and think the sets would make a great gift – either for someone else, or for yourself.
