Pink, Red and White Mini Dotted Flowers (52 Week Challenge)
The two challenge prompts for last week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge were: red and pink, or skittles. I chose to create some pink, red and white mini dotted flowers.
My design is entirely inspired (copied!) from one done by Nail That Design.
I used all Nella Milano polishes for this design. The pink base is Pinkifield; the white flowers are made with Chantilly Cream; the red leaves are done with The Rubinator; and finally, the tiny dotted centres are Raven Wing.
My leaves and dots are a little sloppy. It was really hot yesterday when I painted these, and my polish was drying really quickly. Rather than take my time, replenishing the dabs of polish on my dotting mat more frequently, I tried to finish the job more hastily. The result is that my dots aren’t very even and some of the leaves aren’t really even leaf shaped!
I couldn’t fit in as many dots in the centre of my flowers as Nail That Design did. I don’t know how she did it in fairness. Despite that, and the poor leaves, the overall effect is what I was looking for and the manicure looks great.
- Colour: three coats of Nella Milano Pinkifield
- Dotted flowers: Nella Milano Chantilly Cream, Nella Milano Raven Wing and Nella Milano The Rubinator
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

All the Nella Milano nail polishes used for this post were sent to me for review. All views expressed in this post are my own, honest and unbiased opinions.

Wow, I can’t believe I almost missed your recreation! 😀 I really like your result and your color combination! It looks amazing in pink too! Thank you for sharing this and for crediting me <3
Thanks Milena. Yours is such a lovely design that I had to copy it 😀 I meant to tag you on my Instagram post … I remember looking you up … but forgot, so I’ve just remedied that.
