The two prompts for this week’s 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge are burgundy and/or needle drag. I’ve only just caught up on last week’s challenge, which I posted yesterday, and so I took the easy option and went with a plain-ish burgundy manicure.

The colour is Barry M Crush, from the matte collection. I tend not to wear much matte polish, but I loved this colour and also Rhossili from the same collection, so they are the only matte polishes that I own.

I bought these triangular gold studs from She Sells Seashells. I had to be very careful sticking them on, as I wanted to retain the matte finish. So I carefully added top coat and made sure to quickly wipe off any that was pushed out from the underside of the studs. I didn’t want shiny top coat poking out around the studs.

It’s not the most demanding or exciting nail art I’ve ever done! But it was nice enough and it lasted for the day.
