Barry M Elderberry
Barry M has just launched 7 new Gelly polishes as part of its summer 2014 collection – and of course, I had to have them all. I love the Gellys; in the main, they’re highly pigmented and often one-coaters. Some of the darker colours even stamp well.
This is a surprising mix of colours for a summer collection. There are 3 brights: Kiwi (green), Pink Punch (pink) and Damson (blue). But the other four are more muted, neutral colours: Coconut (cream), Almond (beige), Olive (olive green) and finally Elderberry, which I’m wearing today.
I would describe it as a light steel-blue, with a heavy lean to grey. I adore it; it’s very me. It went on well in two coats, and although the Gelly polishes claim to have a gel-like effect, I always use top coat, not only for extra shine, but also for added protection against chips.
