Black and Silver Sparkly Stars over Ciaté Boudoir: Had to Have It, Still Haven’t Worn It

I don’t feel I’ve done today’s Never-ending Pile challenge justice. The theme is “had to have it, still haven’t worn it” and I have loads of polishes that perfectly fit the brief that I could have used: Max Factor Fantasy Fire, KBShimmer Snow Way, OPI Ski Teal We Drop, A England Order Of The Garter, China Glaze It’s A Trap-eze … and many more.

But, I hadn’t had time to do the manicure this morning, and I was off to a meeting this afternoon. It was with a company I’d not met before and I wasn’t sure how they’d take to some wacky nail art. Hence, I kept my nails very simple and just painted them red. I luckily chose an untried though, and so I was able to jazz it up a little this evening in time to post this.  It also slightly fits the brief in that it came from the recent Ciaté Mini Mani Month advent calendar, which it’s true I *did* have to have, yet most of the polishes are still unworn.

I’m wearing three coats of Ciaté Boudoir, to which I’ve added a couple of accent nails using some black and silver sparkly star stickers that I bought from She Sells Sea Shells. It’s similar to another sparkly stars nails look I did earlier this year, also using these stickers.

The black stickers lost a little of their sparkle after I added top coat, which is a shame, so when I use them again, I’ll just add a little of my own glitter to revive them.

For this manicure I’ve used:

  • Colour: three coats of Ciaté Boudoir
  • Stars: sparkly stars from She Sells Sea Shells
  • Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

These are fab! What a beautiful red – I so wanted the Ciaté calendar but decided that ultimately it was just too expensive. I love the stars – I picked up a load a few weeks ago and now I definitely need to have a go with them. 😀
