FingerFood’s Theme Weeks: Freestyle: Pastel Flowers using Barry M Sugar Apple and Rose Hip
The freestyle theme always fills me with dread. And today’s prompt for the FingerFood’s Theme Buffet challenge was no exception. “Freestyle” is no prompt at all really, and so always leaves me stumped about what to do.
I tried a few things out on a nail wheel, using the new Barry M Spring Gellys and eventually decided on some subtle dotted flowers.
There’s not much contrast in the pink and white in this picture, but in real life it looks a bit more pronounced, and so the flowers are more noticeable than my photo shows them to be.
Here are the manicures from everyone else that is participating:

For this manicure I’ve used:
- Colour: two coats of Barry M Rose Hip or Barry M Sugar Apple
- Flowers: dotted on using Barry M Matt White, and Barry M Sugar Apple or Barry M Rose Hip
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl

Haha! I always hate freestyle prompts too, but thought that everyone else liked them so put one in! At least its out of the way now 😉 Gorgeous nails 😀
Oh I say I hate them, but they’re good really – they make you work to come up with your own prompt.
This looks very pretty – love the subtelty!
Thanks. They’re not quite so subtle as my lighting set up shows them here, but the pastel colours still mean they are quite subtle.
