GOT Polish Challenge: Dots: gradient red and coral dots
It’s dots today in the Golden Oldie Thursday (GOT) Polish Challenge.
I was going to recreate my lovely dotted manicure that I did back last September and I pulled out some different colours to try out. But I couldn’t find a colour scheme that went well together at all.
Then I spied some Ciaté polishes in my untried drawer and toyed with doing the same sort of idea – largish dots, aligned squarely rather than offset – but with similar colours and in a gradient style.
And I love it! The polishes all come from 2012’s Mini Mani Month advent calendar and are: Dangerous Affair, the darkest colour, which I’ve used for the centre line of dots; Mistress, a bright tomato red; and Speed Dial, a coral colour.
The white base is Sinful Colors Snow Me White.
My dots are not very uniform and nowhere near as good as I did them before. That’ll teach me to do my manicures in a rush!
Here are the manicures from everyone else that is participating:

- Colour: two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White
- Dots: Ciaté Dangerous Affair, Ciaté Mistress, Ciaté Speed Dial
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl
