33DC Day 20: A pattern in your wardrobe
My Crumpet’s Nail Tarts 33 Day Challenge manicure for today is a bit of a cop out. The theme is a pattern in your wardrobe and I was all set to recreate a shirt I have that’s a lovely medium purple with white swirly flowers and leaves. I had left the manicure to the last minute – not least due to having been diagnosed with a DVT, which seems to have come about as a complication of my recent foot surgery.
Anyway, this morning I painted my nails with an almost exact purple and waited for it to dry before stamping on a similar pattern to my shirt. But the stamping just didn’t go well and I ended up taking it all off.
In the meantime, I had to re-do a repair to my index fingernail and it was while I was doing this that I thought of a far easier manicure. So I have a simple black and white dotticure that matches a t-shirt I have.
It’s pretty rubbish – dotting is my nemesis (apart from flowers – I can do those) – and I’m not at all proud of it, but it’s done. The next manicure in the challenge is Europe. Help!
- Base colour: two coats of China Glaze White On White
- Dots: W7 Black
- Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl
