Beauty UK Blue Moon
I’m steadily making my way through my untried polishes. Because I still have more than 140 untried polishes, it’s always hard to pick the next colour to wear. I often ask my husband or son to choose a polish. And I often veto their choices too!
Today, I made my own choice. This is Beauty UK Blue Moon, which came as part of the Urban Girl collection, a collection of 6 polishes.
It’s a dusky cornflower blue. These polishes were so cheap – working out at 83 pence each – and they’re kind of cheap in their formula too. But with some care and attention – and great top coat – you can get good results.
I had to apply 3 coats for this manicure. The first coat was very streaky. I hoped the second would even things out, but the polish was thick and dried really quickly on the nail, so the brush dragged the polish about.
I thinned it with some polish thinner for the third coat. The end result was still a bit lumpy and uneven, but a coat of Seche Vite sorted it out.

Oooh what a lovely creamy blue, shame it was a three coater. I wore Beauty UK Electric Blue for my wedding.
I have Electric Blue – haven’t worn it yet though. Nearly put it on yesterday, but did a last minute swerve to purple!
I do that too! I ask my OH what colour I should wear, he tells me and then I end up choosing something completely different!!
Yes, it’s the same for me. He’s starting to get fed up with me asking, and says I just do something different anyway!
