Delicate Floral Wedding Nails | 40 Great Nail Art Ideas

I’m slowly catching up! These floral wedding nails for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas group were due almost two weeks ago. I’m only just making it into the Inlinkz linkup!

I didn’t really know what to do for the wedding theme. I have done a number of pale stamped lace manicures before that I think would be suitable for a wedding and I wanted to do something different. I really wanted to try to recreate this manicure by instagram nail artist Anna Malinko. But she uses gel from a pot, which I don’t have – I could tip it out of the bottle, I suppose. But anyway, she’s an extremely talented freehand artist and I am not!

So I did my own take and stamped a delicate floral design over a subtle French manicure. It’s not anywhere nearly as good as Anna’s manicure, but it’s all I can manage.

Inspired by my pastel and negative space curved chevrons nails, I did a subtle French manicure. I once again used Ciaté Bloom Boost and Barry M Nude to create a (non-stained) naked nails effect. I am disappointed that under the lights the camera seems to show the staining a bit still, which is not at all evident in real life.

Then I used Orly Pink Nude for the tips. I think Pink Nude is meant more for the whole of the nail, but I didn’t want a really stand-out white tip, so thought this was far more understated. It’s a creamy colour and it simply brightens up the (stained!) tip.

I stamped using Essence Stamp Me! White and half of an image from Bundle Monster BM-XL206 (Nailstamp4fun’s blogger collaboration plate).

Right, I’m now one manicure away (last week’s mint green prompt) from catching up. Watch this space!
