Revlon Midnight Stamped with Color Club Over The Moon: H is for: Holographic

You’d be forgiven for not realising that this week’s A2Z series challenge is all about holographic … because my camera and lightbox set-up means that I cannot capture holo. I could, of course, have photographed these nails in the sun, but it’s somewhere over Turks and Caicos, Haiti and Ottawa right now. I’ll add a camera phone snap if I can get one, and then you’ll be able to see the lovely holo.

The base of these nails is Revlon Midnight, another one pound bargain from Pound(insert correct store name ending here – I think it’s “world”). It’s lovely.

And then I stamped with Color Club Over The Moon, the blue holo from the 2013 Halo Hues collection, and CICI & SISI 06.

It looks pretty. I’ll have to do my Poundland tour before I fly home for the holidays still XD

Nicely done! Have you tried a small LED lamp for your holo pics? We don’t get much sun here for half the year plus I tend to do my nails at night, so the lamp helps me get those holo pics at my convenience. When using my light box I set the lamp next to my camera aimed into the box so it can make those rainbows shine. <3

I bought a small LED lamp specially for the purpose ages ago, Jenna – but I completely forgot I had it! Thanks for the reminder. Do you use your lightbox lights as well as the LED lamp?

I do when I’m taking swatch pics for a website, but usually I just aim it at my hand in front of my quicky backdrop. I use the covers of an old 3 ring binder, taped together, for most of my blog pics. It isn’t fancy, but it works a treat. 🙂
