The Nail Arcade Rainbow Chess: September Polish Party

The Polish Party is one year old this month, so the theme is birthday / party / celebrations nails.

I tried to copy the Polish Party logo and had a stab using a few different methods for painting multi-coloured streamers onto my nails. It failed. Abysmally.

So next, I attempted to paint some cupcakes. It also failed. Even more abysmally. The cupcakes looked like a five year-old had painted them and the nails didn’t even get photographed.

Finally, rather than trying to create some party nails, I instead put the party on my nails. I used The Nail Arcade’s Rainbow Chess, a clear base jam-packed with square, multi-coloured, matte glitters. It certainly looks like a party in miniature, with tons of rainbow-coloured confetti.

Rachel of the The Nail Arcade has an Etsy shop and a Facebook page. Rainbow Chess was a limited edition, and as the shop owner Rachel is now at university, she doesn’t sell polish at the moment, just lots of nail art bits and bobs.

Happy birthday Polish Party! If you want to join in next month, please join at the Facebook page.

For this manicure I’ve used:

  • Base colour: two coats of China Glaze White On White
  • Glitter: The Nail Arcade Rainbow Chess
  • Top coat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl
